Reinventing and strengthening spaces.

The Institute of Place Management at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School supports “the formalisation and sustainability of place management models” and offers a range of courses on the topic. One of their current research projects involves bringing together stakeholders to reinvent and strengthen high streets and town centres in England. A good idea would be to pair this with students doing the “Masters of Art in Public Space” at RMIT, a collaboration between art and design practitioners that explores how you address issues within art in public space that are central to current local, national and international cultural debates. There are more interesting answers and insights in the The Journal of Public Space (the most recent special issue is on COVID and the year without public space).

+ How are you managing your spaces on campus to make them as vibrant and all-inclusive as possible? How can you use art to make these spaces speak?
