How are Business Schools Engaging in the SDGs?

New paper out outlines if, and how business schools are engaging in the SDGs.

A few years ago I decided to start tracking how business schools were engaging in the SDGs. While sustainability may be a broad all-encompassing concept, the SDGs are a concrete set of globally accepted goals and I wanted to see whether business schools were aware they existed and if so, how they were responding to them. I analysed all the sustainability reports produced by signatories to PRME between 2015 to 2020, well over 1000 reports in total, and my findings were recently published in the International Journal of Management Education. Access to the article is free until mid-February. While there are some inspiring and important developments, on the whole business schools are still not engaging enough. The article also offers a comprehensive overview of all the different approach’s schools are taking.
