Show me the money

Students are showing the financial sector how its done.

“Student Managed Investment Funds (SMIFs) range from $2000 to $62,000,000 with the vast majority of funds managing around $1,600,000. Currently, nearly 600 US SMIFs manage over $750 million in assets”. This comes from a new report of the state of student run funds in the US. It found that 47% of these funds are run through a course, 32% through a club and 21% externally.  These provide students real-world experience in sustainable investing and are growing in schools around the world. Here is more on what these are, a toolkit on how to start one and a few more ideas on how to approach these.
